My MacBook has not been updating photos

For some reason my MacBook has not been updating photos. It is on the same network, Apple ID iCloud etc.

What can i do to resolve this?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.7

I discovered that the problem was my Photo settings. On Preferences I needed to tick the box for iCloud storage of photos. its all good now.

You say your MacBook is on the same network, but on the same as what? Is some other Mac updating properly?

Has the MacBook never been updating, or did it stop at some point? If the latter, do you know when it stopped? Apple discontinued the My Photo Stream function last fall, so if you were using that on the MacBook, it would have stopped working.
