ipad connecting to mini mac

Note that not all charging cables have data carrying capabilities.

Get a USB-C cable that specifically states for data transfer.

On the Mac, Finder>Preferences>Sidebar & General, what all is checked?

Are they on the same Network?

Is the Mac Mini using Ethernet or Wifi?

I assume the iPad is Wifi?
