I can't connect iPad to MacBook Air via bluetooth

I want to connect my iPad (5th gen) to my MacBook Air (2022, M2). The MacBook is visibile on the iPad but the iPad is not visible on the MacBook. I also tried with my friend's MacBook and it works! I've already tried to restart both the iPad and the MacBook, but it still doesn't work.

MacBook Air, macOS 14.4

I don't believe that pairing an iPad with a Mac via Bluetooth is supported.

Macs and iPads do use Bluetooth for some Continuity features, but mostly you'd get a Mac and an iPad to work together using Continuity features, iCloud synchronization, or some other form of cloud-based synchronization.
