cac readers not working with sonoma OS

I have multiple Macs and recently bought a MacBook Air running Sonoma OS. I cannot get the CAC reader to work with Sonoma. CAC readers are fine and work great on Ventura OS. Please update the software. New computer and can't use it. Money NOT well spent...
