"can't establish a secure connection to the server"

So I have a MacMini from late 2012 running Yosemite 10.10.5. I don't use it much but now I get the error message when trying to connect to sites in Safari:

"can't establish a secure connection to the server"

I've looked for answers and have run thru the usual suspects. date and time are correct, I've changed the DNS servers to Open DNS, and past that, everything is up to date.

How do I get Safari on this Mac to connect to websites?

Safari for 10.10 is too out of date, nit sure there is one for 10.10 that is up yo todays standards, but you need a different Browser for certain, like Firefox or Brave.

Firefox 115 is now the current version. runs in High Sierra.

119.0.1 is now the current version and requires 10.15 or later.
