Cannot connect homepods unless I turn off my router's security functions
I have spent the last two months trying to get my homepods to function properly. They will connect to my network without all features available and then get stuck in "configuring". When I go through the initial setup process for each homepod, I get a message saying "some features may not be available because your network does not allow peer to peer connections". I have gone through every setting in my network router to try to get these things to work. The only setting that seems to be compatible is "NONE" on my router's security protocol...which leaves my network completely open. The other options are WPA2-personal, WPA/WPA2-personal, WPA3-Personal, and WPA2/WPA3-personal - none of which are compatible with the homepods. Can anybody explain why this is and what settings are required to connect the homepods to my network? Is there a setting on my phone or tablet perhaps that I can use to resolve this? I can't find any info from Apple on this. I bought 4 of these things and wish I hadn't.
