Apple TV A1469 quite happy with it but now want to download a VPN and there is no App Store I have updated my software …. Do I need to buy a newer version or is there a way to get my VPN on it

appletv 3rd g never had an app store because it never had any storage to install apps on, so yes to get an app store you need an 4g or newer
