Is a Pages content still not compatible with Publisher?

I would like to use free software to create a table. Preferably software that Publisher can use.

iPad mini, iOS 9

Pages content has never been compatible with any Microsoft software — unless you export to Word or RTF document format. MS Publisher will open and convert Word (and I believe, RTF) documents to the internal Publisher document format. Publisher does not convert PDF, but rather links to PDFs. Word 16.31 and later can open and convert PDF to DOCX content that Publisher may be able to further internally convert.

I just copied and pasted a table with formulas from Numbers v13.2 into Pages v13.2 on macOS 14.2.1. I then exported that Pages document to Word into a shared folder with my Windows 11 Pro guest in Parallel's Desktop 19.2.1. Pages advised on the export that it destroyed all formulas in the table and only the last displayed values were retained.

I have Office 2021 Professional Plus installed on Windows 11 Pro, and Publisher 2021 located and converted that Word document within a Publisher frame. Unfortunately, the Publisher conversion was just junk and no sign of any table presence.

I think you would save yourself some grief by sticking to the Windows platform and use MS Word and Publisher together to provide the best possible outcome. Forget about mixing Pages exported content with Publisher.
