I HAVE JUST DROPPED A DOC FROM A MacBook Pro onto my iPhone. The Mac gave it as successfully done. But I cannot find where on the iPhone that documents might have landed. I did give it permission to land. Where is it meant to come in and be stored?

It depends on the file type. Photos and videos default to photos. Most other files into the files app. Tickets should drop into the wallet.

Right, we have solved it together. We sent off the ticket again, and the only thing hat came up when he downloaded it by airdrop was the Books up. He opened Books and there was the ticket inside. Mysteries of the Apple universe!! Thank you for your suggestions, that worked for my iPhone if not for his!!
The ticket has not gone into the wallet. There are two unverified credit cards in the wallet he would like to take out and nothing else. In fact Apple in Germany wrongly informed him to use the wallet. Later he leaned Germany does not use the wallet, it's for Americans. So he would like to discard the cards, if he could empty the wallet. He has just downloaded two airline apps for airlines we use, but doesn't know if they will help. They were recommended for use with the wallet when clicking inside the wallet.
My own airline ticket went into Files, not wallet today. That was the doc I wanted to find on my phone!.
Sorry no just assumed they were tickets (the add to wallet kind). Sounds like you have pdf tickets. Those would open in books.
Thank you. That solved the mystery for my iPhone. The problem now remains is that I dropped an Airline ticket onto my husband's iPhone too, he accepted it, but it isn't in his Files app. It does have 3 pics in it, but not the electronic ticket.
My husband's iPhone is an SE, SE2, I think.
