Bulk conversion of tiff Photos to high-quality format, and MacBook Pro that can be edited on apple photos software.

I have about 5000 archival family photos in an external hard drive as Tiff. On a separate hard drive, I would like to transfer them in a high-quality format that can be edited by Apple photo, and also be more transferrable to other sources.. I have become accustomed to apple photo editing, and would prefer not relearning everything in Photoshop.

How would you advise that I undertake this process.

Thank you for your assistance.

You can batch convert using Preview (say you wanted a smaller file size).

How To Batch Process Images With Mac Preview by Gary MacMost

The key is to have the proper setting in your Preview.

You have three options under Images:

When opening files: Open all files in one window

• Open groups of files in the same window

Open each file in its own window
