Audio intermittently cut out while input monitoring / recording.

While input monitoring and strumming guitar the audio will intermittently cut out. The lights on my Focusrite appear to be registering my strums when the sound is cutting out on the computer. I tried recording and upon playback there is also intermittent cut out. I downloaded the latest version of Logic Pro today. I have my guitar plugged into a 3rd Gen Scarlett Focusrite 2i2. I redownloaded the latest Focusrite driver today as well. Please help.

make sure your audio interface is plugged directly into the computer and not a hub. If you do need to use a hub, make sure it is powered (plugged in), so the interface is getting good voltage.

I appreciate your help. I just updated the OS this morning so it may look a tad different. Here is how mine looks

But I believe mic mode is enabled. I'll snip another image. I did not have to change any settings and the issue persists.

A tad bit of additional information.... I was initially on the Logic free trial and was having this issue so I finally paid for the full version today hoping the reinstall would fix this issue. It did not.

Any other ideas?
