Custom Gestures under Voice Control not recording

Thanks for your reply. I am going to the right place, the problem is that it won't record my gesture. It shows on the screen my tap marks as I tap the gesture, but it doesn't record it. I am trying to create a voice command to unlock my phone, so my tap marks are my pass code. Since it's not recording, I haven't figured out if I have to make an "initial tap gesture" to wake up my phone, followed by a "swipe up gesture" to call up the pass code key pad, followed by my "pass code gesture" to unlock the phone. Like I said, I get a screen with "play" and "stop" greyed out at the bottom. I watched a YouTube short in which a woman did this process (although I think the only gesture she used was her pass code), but it didn't show her whole screen, so I couldn't see what the bottom of her screen looked like. I couldn't find any other good information on the net, so I came here. I hope this gives a clearer picture of what I am trying to do. Thanks again.
