Sonoma right mouse and quicktime problems

I have a 2022 Studio. About a month after upgrading to Sonoma, I started having right mouse click problems, the same as many folks. I clicked various buttons on the Stage Manager and Widgets and restarted, to no avail. Then I unchecked the "group windows by spaces", restarted, and PROBLEM SOLVED. Dumb luck.

HOWEVER, NOW MY QUICKTIME does not work. Will not play videos, among them some made with my iPhone. Says the file is corrupt, and to move to trash. HOWEVER, it does play in thumbnail mode.

Any solutions to fix the Quicktime problem?
