Hi!
I just upgraded a week ago from my old Macbook Air 2016 with Intel to a new Macbook Air 2022 with the Apple M2 chip, 8GB memory and 512GB storage running Mac Sonoma 14.2.1 .
But I've just been trying to do some work in Adobe InDesign and it has crashed on me many times in the past couple of hours. With Ilustrator when trying to scroll or move something even just a millimetre it lags with the spinning wheel for about 30 seconds. The document is only 6MB! and I only have one Google Chrome window open, so it's not like Im using a million other programs.
Any idea what could be causing it to perform so poorly?
Ah, there's no point in responding by suggesting the use of the activity monitor, because I've already done that, and it's not running under pressure.
Thanks!

Third Party Application is Crashing ?
Would be better to seek assistance from the maker of the Application

Part 2 of 3
If Activity Monitor is ruled out as a means to trouble shoot
Perhaps the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.
The Application is Not a " Silver Bullet " and is only a tool to examine the Hardware / Software used on this computer
This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer Hardware / Software used on this computer
The application is free or paid from added features.

Apple can fix Apple Services, Applications, Operating Systems and Accessories
Apple can not fix Third Party Applications
That falls clearly Out-Side the Domain of Apple and belongs solely with the Third Party Application Developers
