Why am I being billed for two 50gb storage accounts. Last month and current moth.

I signed up for 1 50gb iCloud storage account and have been billed for 1 for over a year. Last month snd currently, I have 2 50gb account bills ($0.99). Why 2 all of a sudden?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 17

Not possible to be billed twice for the same thing unless you are the Family Organizer in a Family Sharing group.

In which case you may get billed for your own iCloud storage and another family member's iCloud storage if they subscribe to it.

The system is set up to prevent double billing for the same thing.

Otherwise, and other than the price , what makes you think the charges are for the same thing? Apple does not specific what a charge is for on your payment method's statement.

Check your active subscriptions and purchases and see if there's something else there being charged for $0.99 in addition to iCloud.

Again, billing for the same thing more than once is not possible, as the system is set up to prevent this.

Again, why do you assume the billings are for the same subscription? Where are you seeing they are for the same thing? Just because the charges are for the same amount does not mean they are for the same thing.

Its entirely possible and more likely that the secondary charge is for something else. As I said before, Apple does not specify what a charge is for on your statement. It merely appears as "apple.com/bill" So how exactly do you know both are for iCloud?

Please follow the steps in the support document linked above, to identify the charge.

On 12/16/23 I was billed for B iCloud 50gb accounts. I was billed again on 12/18/2023 for the same thing. Both were debited from my BofA VISA. On 1/15/2024 and 1/16/2024 I was billed again for 1 - 50 gb account on my BofA checking account , plus I received another pending billing on 1/15/2024 on my VISA for the same account. I do not have family sharing. Why the double/triple billing? Can I close my iCloud account then open a new one without losing my data?
