notifications about someone connecting to my pc and that my pc is at risk

i’ve recently been getting notifications on my macbook that my pc is at risk and asks me to renew mcaffe, which is strange bc i never had that and it says it expired yesterday. after that i got notifications that someone from russia was trying to connect to my computer. what do i do?

Sounds like a scam.


If the notifications are appearing in the upper-right-hand corner of the screen, they're probably coming from a Web site. See Stop unwanted Notifications - Apple Community for instructions on how to block them.


If they're coming in through e-mail, delete the e-mails without calling any phone numbers in them, sending e-mail to any addresses in them, or clicking on any links in them.
