I have a LaCie external I lost my password.

I recently bought a LaCie external. My old iMac was dying so I migrated all my info to the external. The old iMac was wiped by Apple when I bought the new iMac.

I set up the new iMac and tried to migrate all the info on the Lacie but I never wrote down the password for the LaCie. So I can't move the info.

I did a chat with the Lacie folks but they said they couldn't help with a new password but suggested Apple could reset it??? How is that possible?
