On three recent occasions, my Chase Freedom Card has not worked at Andronicos/Safeway via Apple Pay. After the first occasion, I removed the card from my Wallet and reinstalled. After the second occasion, I reported it to Chase Bank and was informed everything looked good on their end. These fails have occurred after I received a new Chase Freedom Card.
Same thing has happened to me at Safeway, I’ve tried twice using my Chase Debit Card, but it doesn’t work at all and I end up using another non-Chase card. I’m using tap to pay on my Apple Watch Ultra 2. My Chase Debit card does work everywhere else like Target etc… I have no idea what the problem is. I haven’t tried calling Chase tho.
Is the Chase card a new account number or the old number and they just updated the expiration date and security code?
