I just got off a call with a very nice Customer Support Rep who confirmed that, without a subscription, you can no longer buy single songs.... the way I've done it for about 30 years. This STINKS! I don't want or need a subscription. THIS will be the reason I finally get Spotify like my kids have been asking me to do for years. Totally bummed.

If you don't see prices, then you are in the wrong place.
The iTunes Store on Mac still shows prices and you can buy individual songs.
If using a recent Mac with a recent macOS version, make sure you are actually searching the iTunes Store section or are in the actual iTunes Store section in the Music app.
As mentioned that is wrong.
Open the iTunes Store, find a song, and click on the price of the song to purchase it.

That information is not correct. In the iTunes Store, you can buy songs without a subscription, and you can buy single songs.
I know for sure how I used to be able to do it, to buy individual songs, and have done it for years. Today, even with online support, I just couldn't see how to do it and the agent agreed that w/out a subscription now you can't add single songs:( I'd love it if it's not true.
I no longer see individual prices in the iTunes store and preview no longer available on my iMac. Every time I click play, I am prompted to sign up for their Apple Music subscription.
