Can;t buy single songs anymore on iTunes

I went to the iTunes Store today to buy a song by Herbie Hancock. There was no option to buy a single song. There was only the option to buy an Apple Music subscription, which I don't want or need.

No way to buy music anymore (only option: subscribe to Apple Music). This "upgrade" has no option for buying music. There is no link, no menu item, no sidebar item, no option in the search bar, nothing. The directions for buying music show screens that don't match what I have--no three dots, for example. I finally found how to get to my wishlist and thought I found my way to the store, but, alas, no. There was a "Gift this music" option for a wishlisted item, but no way to buy. Search just brought me back to Apple Music which gives me the song I was looking for, but no option for buying (I do not have a subscription to Apple Music. I don't need it--I have a lot of music already and just need to buy an individual song once in a while). I miss the old iTunes, as janky as it was. At least I could purchase music. I have this issue with the PC and my iPod. A trillion dollar music corporation cannot make good music apps? One reason I've been purchasing CDs again. But sometimes, I just want one song.

how to buy a song on Music-iTunes w/o Apple Music? I don't have option anywhere to buy a song. I found song. But on right end next to price, the pulldown menu is 6 choice, but now is to buy song. I read this, Buy music from the iTunes Store on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support Doesn't help if option to buy not apparent. Page appear to be solely a promotion to START YOUR TRIAL for Apple Music, which I don't want. Am I out of touch and only way to buy songs on iTunes is by subscribing to Apple Music? Appears to be so.

It can still be done. You have to stand firm against the inducements to subscribe to Apple Music. Follow the steps in here:
