Un-wanted iPhone Lock Screen

My wife accidentally created a Lock Screen image that is close to pornographic. She uses Face ID (I think she is the only one who can delete that image). Instructions say to "Touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears at the bottom of the screen." Done.

Step two is to "Swipe to go to the Lock Screen you want to delete, swipe up on the screen, tap the Trash button, then tap Delete This Wallpaper."

"Swiping up" simply takes one to a list of images for the Home Screen. The image that shows in the Lock Screen is not in that list.

I think part of the problem is finding the steps that "pair" the Lock and Home screen images.

Again, the problem is not the Home Screen image. The problem is the Lock Screen image cannot be found anywhere else. Very frustrating.

Problem solved:

Found a way to access the Lock Screen! After unlocking the phone and seeing the Home Screen, swipe Down from the Center Top of the screen. You should now see your Lock Screen. Just swipe upwards to display the red Trash can and click it. Confirm your wish to Delete that screen and continue using you phone!

Our mistake when seeing the Lock Screen was using the "long press/hold" technique. I think that method is mislabeled. Instead os a "long PRESS/Hold" one should use a less aggressive "long light TOUCH". A "long touch" (no pressure) does, indeed convince the phone that you want to edit the Lock Screen rather than simply open to the Home screen.

I still have no idea how my wife managed to select the unwanted image for a Lock Screen! 8+|
