iPhone content restrictions in DuckDuckGo

I use iPhone's content restrictions feature to limit my access to news websites I would be checking all day long without the check. I've been doing this fine since I got the phone last year and switched my preferred browser to DuckDuckGo. After a recent update, though, I can access all the "banned" websites in the browser without it interrupting the traffic. Any idea what might be happening or how to get the limit placed back on those websites?
