Turn on the Bluetooth.

Perhaps I haven't understood the problem, but if you have turned off the Bluetooth on your iPod, in order to "make the sound come back" you simply need to turn the Bluetooth on the iPod back on. Since the two devices are paired, they should connect automatically (it takes a few seconds to actually connect).

Reasons why the two devices don't see each other, when they have in the past:

    • they are not in range of each other (they're not near enough to each other)
    • the headphones have connected to another device with which they have been paired. Note, the headphones will not simply pair up another device on their own, you have to go through the steps to pair the headphones to each device that you want to use. A certain method for dealing with multiple pairings is either to turn off the Bluetooth on the other device, or power down that device completely.
    • when you disconnected the iPod and headphones the last time, you unpaired them from one another instead of simply turning the headphones off. Note, you do not need to unpair devices once they are paired

If you still haven't resolved the issue, perhaps you can provide more detail about the points I have mentioned:

    1. are the two devices near enough to each other?
    2. have you paired up the headphones with another device that is currently on and may have grabbed the headphones?
    3. did you unpair the two devices from one another?
