What does Platco PR1 mean in Bluetooth connection options?

Why do i see platico PR1 on Bluetooth?

So, could it possibly be a spyware device? I appreciate you diving into it.

How do you check to see if somebody’s tracking because I cannot connect my watch and I had it connected all along up until recently and all of a sudden this Platco PR1is showing up in my Bluetooth. And I think it’s my husband, but I need to find out

I’m about having the same issue I don’t know what this other device at the bottom and I have no neighbors for 300 yards

Where exactly are you seeing this on your iPhone? Is it showing up at Settings > Bluetooth > MY DEVICES or OTHER DEVICES?

I found one post at the Quora forum where someone used a Bluetooth detector where Platco PR1 came up with the first three octets of the associated MAC address of B4:CB:B8.

From there I used the Wireshark OUI Lookup Tool to find out what organization has been assigned those octets ... and it came out to be: Universal Electronics, Inc. They specialize in a variety of areas, including entertainment controls, smart home controls, & climate management devices. Chances are there is one of those nearby when you see this on your iPhone.

This is also what shows up for the generic airtags so you might wanna check that someone didnt hide it somewhere to track you without u knowing

From what I’ve been able to learn by GOOGLEing PLATCO PR1, it appears to be some kind of communication protocol having to do with TVs.

mine keeps showing up in My Devices As well as and OBTC device. I have been asking The Father of my children about this for years finally said screw it im putting internet and mobile in my name He was completely “cool” with it well… here we are 6 months later and a job change from his auto parts sales management Job to Charter Communications Sales Associate on his insist And the Fact we get everything pretty much free for him being An Employee and it’s all happening again…

That designation is for a brand / model of headphones. I'd wager that your neighbor has a pair. My neighbors have 2 pair which both show up when I open my Bluetooth.

I also had that on my bluetooth but found it to be the remote control for my tv. Once i popped the batteries out it went away and vice versa

Yes on my iPhone in setting/ Bluetooth

It showed up on my iSearching app, while out walking. Saying it was connecting. I have a key chain tracker on that app. Why it showed up there. I don’t know? But, I deleted it anyways.
