Options for import from a music CD into the Music app on my iPad.

On the one hand I have my iPad running the Music app (not to be confused with Apple Music, as I have imported an extensive iTunes library from my old iMac.) On the other hand I have CDs that I bought last year, and would like to import to this library. I did manage to create a new Library.xml file and a playlist file on the old iMac and I now have them stored as files on the iPad. However I see no way to import the new Library file, nor the playlist. I've spent years curating this iTunes library into playlists, so it's important to me.

Alternatively I could just import the CDs to the iPad, but it doesn't sound like that's feasible based on other posts, i.e. that CD players require more power than the iPad can offer.

What are my options for importing songs - any suggestions?

You need to import the CDs into iTunes or the Music App on a computer, and then sync that library onto the iPad.

There is no way to directly import CDs onto an iPad.
