My desktop computer is running very slow, and the spinning globe keeps showing up when I click on programs. I closed out all programs and restarted my computer. I also cleared the cookies in my browsers. It’s still running slow. Any suggestions?

Almost all 2012-2020 21.5" iMacs came with glacially slow 5400 RPM HDs. In order for us to tell what you have and what has been installed to see if you have software issues we need a report of the system. Please do the following and then we can advise what can help you out.
It will help us get a good idea of what is causing your problem if you provide a report of your system, that way we do not have to play 20 questions with you. Once you have you downloaded the app and installed it, please run the report and save it. This report will help us get a good idea what has been installed on your system and help us be able to diagnose what may be wrong.
When you have your report, you can attach it when you reply to this message and we can then review it and help you determine what is needed to get your system running well again.
