Home sharing Mac to iOS not Family sharing compatible?

On local home network mac is sharing libraries for Music and TV, Apple

TV's in my home can access them with occasional hiccups but play shared media fairly well.

Wanting to access these Libraries from an iOS device (iPad and iPhones) the Shared Libraries do not show up unless on ALL devices I use the same Apple ID as the one sharing the Libraries on the Mac.

Family sharing does however enable sharing media among family members on the Apple TV's.

Changing apple TV ID on iPhone also changes this for the Apple Music account on the iOS device. They apparently cannot be signed into different ID's and seem to be locked together. Maybe they are still sharing the same old iTunes Library which is used for media?

Is there any way I can let family members access my shared Libraries on my Mac and let them retain their Apple Music accounts on their iOS devices?

Home sharing and family sharing are unrelated. Home sharing works with a single Apple ID. There is an alternative simple or network sharing that can allow a library on a computer to be accessed by anyone else on the same network. See the Share you media library section of Set up media sharing on Mac - Apple Support.

Tried that, didn't work.

Apparently you CAN use 2 different id's on tvOS but no separate ID's in iOS for Music and TV.

Kids want access to the movies Library as shared from my Mac AND use their own Apple Music for their playlists etc. via Family Sharing.

As Apple states Videos and Music use separate apps, it would be great if they used separate databases too.

Sometimes you reminisce and wish you still had the bloated iTunes app. At least it did what we wanted most of the time.
