Okay, thanks for providing those details. An alarm cutting off after just one ring is typically caused by a few different things on iPhone. Let me run through some troubleshooting steps to try and resolve it:

- Make sure your iPhone is fully charged and not running low on battery. An low battery can cause unexpected behavior with sounds/alerts.

- Check that your iPhone volume is turned up high enough. Test with another sound/ringtone to be sure the volume is working properly.

- Delete and re-create the alarm from scratch. Sometimes a corrupted alarm setting can cause issues.

- As a test, set a second alarm for 5 minutes from now to see if that one also cuts off after one ring. This will help determine if it's isolated to that one alarm.

- As a last resort, try resetting all settings on your iPhone (not erase content). Sometimes minor software glitches get worked out with a settings reset.

Let me know if any of those suggestions help or if the issue persists. Also try updating your iOS by going to Settings - General - Software update.
