Factory reset Macbook air 2015 intel
I need to factory reset my Macbook but when i turn it on while pressing cmd + R there is a lock on the screen and it asks for password, what password should i use?

You need to use the same password when you turned on the firmware password lock (this can be different than any other password used with the Mac). If you do not remember this password, then you will need to take the laptop to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider along with adequate proof of purchase and personal ID to prove ownership so Apple can remove the firmware lock.
If you do not have adequate proof of purchase or personal ID, or you purchased this laptop used, then there is nothing you can do to remove the firmware lock.
