Can anyone tell me what “synced content “ covers?

I’m looking for a definition of “synced content “, as in, what file totes and services does it cover, and how can I manage the content of “synced content”?

There’s other threads about how it fills up significant portions of the memory, soo I don’t want to go into that. I just want to know what’s included and how I can control it by myself without Apple interference.

Well, the content is being double stored, but almost certainly at your request.

Here’s my situation. I subscribe to iTunes Match, which means my music library is available in iCloud. However, that library contains some music I would rather not play on the iPhone. So in order to selectively choose the music on my iPhone, I sync the music from my computer, and select the songs to be synced on that computer.

When I first set up this iPhone, the sync process took a very long time, so I aborted it and found I could access all music from iCloud on my iPhone. At that time, I had no storage in the “Synced Media” category. Later, when I chose to allow the sync to complete, that “Synced Media” storage appeared.

I hope reporting my scenario helps your understanding of synced media.

Those are not “synced content “. That’s iCloud content. In my case it cannot be more than 5gb because I don’t pay for any iCloud storage. My “synced content” is over 50gb, soo it cannot be synced content.

In addition, if it was “synced content”, it would be categorised under the file already listed (apps, music, documents, photos, etc).

Soo it is not any of those. Thus my question remains, what did it contain and how can I manage it.
