Problem: GMT watch face doesn’t show 24 hrs on outer ring

I just got the Apple Watch SE and I’d like the watch to show current location time as 12hr and UTC time in 24hr format. The description for the GMT watch face says the outer ring is 24 hour format. After I add the GMT watch face to the watch using the Watch app on the phone I notice the outer ring is in 12hr format. It stays that way even after selecting UTC as the second time zone. How do I get the outer ring to show the 24 hr format? I want to keep all other times on my phone and watch to be the 12hr format. I restarted both the iPhone and the watch and that did not correct the problem.

Thanks,

Apple Watch SE

I tried that earlier but all the watch apps that show digital time changed to 24 hr format also.

I just tried it again and same result so I turned 24 hr time off, BUT NOW IT WORKS as expected! The outer ring stayed in 24 hr format and all other apps went back to 12 hr format. I suspect Apple may have fixed the bug on the last update. Anyway, Thanks!

Thanks , i read that many times to see if i was missing something. Seems the outer ring used to display in 24 hour format (ie; at 2pm a 14 would show at the end of the red pointer). I came across quite a few other sites that showed it like that that were dated a year or two ago.

I submitted a suggestion to Apple , and hoping others have or will also , to get a watch face that is simply 12 hour clock for local time on the inner ring and a red pointer that points to, and displays, UTC time in 24 hour format on the outer ring. And NO confusing color coding of the outer ring that is attempting to display night/day.
