Will iCloud delete photos on device if I login?

I am trying to look at old photos on my old iPad but keep getting prompted to sign in to my iCloud account. 8 years ago, I used the same iCloud account that I use now, but somehow got locked out on the iPad. So I have been taking all of these photos without being logged in to an iCloud account. The photos are not synced to my iCloud account, so I am worried that the photos will be deleted or lost if I log in to my iCloud account. I get prompted to log in to my iCloud every 10 seconds, so it is impossible to view the photos. If I login, will the photos be saved to my iCloud account?
