If your iPhone is experiencing issues with DHCP and is getting stuck asking for a former IP address, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network:
    1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPhone.
    2. Tap on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to.
    3. Select "Forget This Network."
    4. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network and enter the necessary credentials.
  2. Reset Network Settings:
    1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
    2. Select "Reset Network Settings."
    3. Confirm the action by entering your passcode.
  3. Check DHCP Settings on the Router:
    1. Ensure that your router's DHCP settings are configured correctly.
    2. Check if there is a lease time set for DHCP leases, and if so, consider adjusting it.
