Is there a way or an app to help me search my camera roll for similar photos I’ve taken over the years? I’ve taken tons of photos of my artwork and I was looking for a way to find every photo I’ve taken that has the same subject matter. I’m looking for similar photos, not exact duplicates so the “duplicate” folder doesn’t work for what I need. I’m looking to search my photos using an image rather than keywords essentially.

A 3rd party app that would be good for that would be;
PhotoSweeper - $9.99 - Demo version available.
PhotoSweeper compares bitmaps and/or histograms so it can detect duplicate images even if they have different file sizes, file names, image sizes and capture dates.
The demo mode is limited to 500 photos to be scanner but give it a try.
The duplicates album is also showing similar photos, not just identical image files. Has Photos already shown you same duplicates, or has the scan for duplicates not yet been completed? It would be great, if you could let us know, if the Duplicate detection managed to find similar photos of artwork.
You can search for "train" and get all the pictures of trains. You can type cat and get the cat pictures. But if your art is Pollock, there's really no hope.
MacOS has keywords, but iOS doesn't, and searching for Mac keywords in iOS seems problematic, Captions are the place to add words like keywords to identify pictures with categories that are outside Photos' artificial intelligence field. It can be a lot of work.
