I'm a doctor at a large university hospital. When anyone pays for parking or buys something at the cafe using ApplePay, the digital receipt on their phone says that they have paid "My First and Last Name, MD". This is confusing to patients and gives the incorrect impression that a care provider has a financial interest in the peripheral businesses in the hospital. How do I ensure that this no longer happens?
Somehow your contact details are linked to the merchant account or main address of the hospital. You may need someone to check the merchant account details or other business listings.
Everyone? Either the user has your name in their contacts at that location, which is likely. Or, the hospital where you work has you listed as the business for the credit processor, much less likely.
Everyone. Strangers coming to the hospital go to their doctors and ask who this person is who is collecting money from the cafe. But it seems to be only those who pay with Apple Pay.
