Photo Album ‘from my Mac’ on iPhone: how to manage?

I see a huge amt. of photos, videos and screenshots on the album displayed in my iPhone called “from my Mac”. They are not delete-able. Do they take up space on my phone? How do I find out where each photo/video I see is stored (4 devices 3 Macs over the years same Apple ID). I have (not yet) knowingly stored any photos in iCloud.

Both devices have the latest OS as of just before I write this. I do not share an album between the phone and the Mac. I do not have photos in the iCloud. Albums Called From My Mac Full of Photos in the Photos App on My iPhone Still There After Deleting I uploaded some photos from my mac hard drive into the photos app, and then decided to delete them. They appear to be gone in the photos app on my mac, and in my iCloud page. However, the photos app on my iPhone has a from my mac folder with the photos still there. I would like these photos in this from my mac folder on my iPhone to be gone. I also notice individual images in this from my mac folder in photos on my iPhone have a cloud with a line through them. What does this mean? and there is no option to delete these photos.

iCloud Photos not Showing on Mac but show on iPhone I have thousands of photos and videos on my iphone going back more than 10 years. They are set to backup to my icloud and all works well. I have the same iCloud account signed in on my Mac but in the photos app iCloud is not checked. So there is no sync between photos and iCloud on the Mac. In the photo app library , there are only about 15 images visible, compated to the thousands in the photos app on my phone. I was thinking to check / turn on iCloud in the photos app on the Mac, but I am concerned that these 15 images might replace the thousands of images that are already synced to my icloud account from my phone. Any suggestions how I can see the phone images on my Mac? Would be so grateful for any advice... Many thanks :-)

The album is synced from your Mac. Connect the device, open finder, select the device, navigate to photos and select what you wish to sync

Excellent, thank you. A ‘sync’ tic-mark had appeared for photos. And they do indeed take up space on the iPhone.
