Trying to copy picture on the Iphone 14 to win 11 desktop.

When I get into internal storage and click on a date. Sometimes all I get is an icon with a big arrow. Other times I can view the different pictures but I still have an icon with an arrow with the same file name. I can not erase the icon with an arrow. Also, I do not have the pictures backed up to the cloud. I like to copy to a desktop and back it up on an SS drive. When I open the phone and the Apple photo amp opens it never can bring up all the pictures on the iPhone. I have tried several times to view the pictures on the iPhone with the Apple photo amp but only a few show up that I can view, most show an image but can not view the file.

I guess I can use some help. Trying to get used to the iPhone, is not easy.

How are you getting into “internal storage”? Storage on an iPhone is not generally accessible; while you can sometimes see some of the internal structure it is not a supported activity.
