How to import iPhone (16.7.5) photos into windows 10 as JPEG without having to individually convert files?

HEIC is a newer format which saves memory-- it's High Efficiency. I appreciate that old farts prefer old things (and, by the way, I'm old, but not a fart. I'm clean smelling and don't fart. Ever.), so you may have to change HEIC files to jpeg for your Windows 10 (I notice it's not 11!)

On your iPhone, in Settings>Photos, at the bottom under "Transfer to Mac or PC," do you have Automatic checked rather than Keep Originals? This is supposed to use a compatible format. How about, in Settings>Camera>Formats, do you have Most Compatible checked instead of "High Efficiency?" If not, try checking the more compatible formats to see if that helps.

You don't have to buy HEIC (??). I notice that there are many HEIC to jpeg converter apps for free (with no in-app purchases!) listed in the Mac app store. I assume the same is true for however Windows people get apps.

By the way, Apple doesn't work here-- you're talking to users like yourself (except for the fart part.) If you want to tell Apple what you think, do that here:

Sorry you couldn't find any HEIC to JPEG converters -- I saw an app called "Real HEIC to JPG Converter" for Windows 10 and up-- but I couldn't figure out if it costs money, and that's sometimes tricky. I have stuff on my Mac that would convert a folder of HEIC to jpgs in one touch, so there must be stuff that would work for you. But I'm afraid I know next to nothing about Windows. Good luck!
