Disapperaing Dock after I entered a command in terminal

Long story short , I wanted to remove finder when I press cmnd Tab , so I searched for it on google and one person suggested me to put a command in terminal , idk maybe he was trolling cuz first nothing happened but after a restart to my Mac my dock disappeared and I couldn't see it (I have kept it to auto hide) and I can't see it when I set it on auto hide , I can see it when auto hide is off the command

( I am on MacBook Air m2 )

defaults write com.apple.dock autohide-delay -float 1000

Have you tried to adjust the Dock settings in the System Settings? Maybe adjusting the settings there will fix it.

You may want to just delete the Dock .plist preference file from "~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist" file. Log out of your macOS user account (or reboot). When you log back in, then macOS should recreate this Dock preference file with default settings.

Please let this be an important lesson to you to not blindly use commands offered online without knowing exactly what they are doing. You should also know how to revert the change before trying to implement the change. Sometimes it may be easy to tell which preference file has been modified, but other times it may not be readily apparent.

Before using an commands, you should also make sure to have a good backup so that you can perform a clean reinstall of macOS & restore from the backup.

Many commands can completely destroy your data....plus just a simple typographical error when using a command could wipe everything.
