Dictation changes the first word I say from uppercase to lowercase

When I am dictating text, my iPhone will always change the first word that I say from uppercase to lowercase once I turn dictation off, no matter what the word is. The word will start off being capitalized as I'm dictating, but once dictation is turned off, it changes it to a lowercase word.

Auto capitalization is on in my settings. My phone is always up-to-date. Saying the word "cap" beforehand does not capitalize the word, it just puts the word "cap" at the beginning of the sentence.

This is incredibly frustrating as I am disabled and so I dictate everything, and I'm constantly having to go back and edit.
