How do I delete Image Capture on my Mac mini OS Sonoma 14.2.1?
I have trouble scanning docs from my Brother DCP - 197 Printer since I downloaded Image Capture. It goes on scanning parts of the doc rather than the whole doc.

Image Capture is an app that is installed as a component of macOS and therefore cannot be deleted.
But this sounds to me like you've not got IC scanning configured quite right.
Check the scanning settings in IC and make sure that the feature called "Detect Separate Images" is not selected.

❝6. Choose the size of the image or document you’re scanning from the Size pop-up menu.
You can choose a standard paper size or one of the following:
7. If needed, click Show Details to show more scanning options. ❞

It is usually advisable to use Brother software with Brother printers/scanners. Make sure it is available for Sonoma of course.
Problem solved. Many thanks.
