I use my personal computer for work. The company I work for has an IT Professional that provides technical support. While he was setting up my computer on the network in the office he installed this program and now my computer fan runs almost continuously. It seems to be running in the background. I would like to remove it and see if it fixes the issue.

OK, I looked through a bunch or their articles. that is MICH more complicated than it first appeared.
The dashboard appears to install an MDM profile at the same time, and that is not easily removable by the end-User.
I don't see any way except to contact your IT guys or whoever put it on there and ask them to remove it.
First, internalize that ALL that is on your Mac is the agent, and that is all you need to remove.
Then use the link I provided above, and just as I suggested previously, SCROLL DOWN until you see the heading:
Manually Un-Install the Mac Agent
follow the directions from there.
as it says, if you did not keep the Installer folder, DOWNLOAD the Installer again. The Un-Installer is inside the same folder as the Installer, as is very common with MANY different kinds of software.

I am unfamiliar with this process. I do not have access the the dashboard they reference.
If I restore my machine from a time machine back up prior to the installation, will it remove the software?
Is there a simple way to uninstall the program completely?

OF COURSE you don't have access to the dashboard.
such software consists of a dashboard, on a computer run by an organization's IT guy, and an 'agent' on your computer that reports back to the dashboard on the IT guy's computer. You can't remove the dashboard, it's not on your computer.
Can I restore the computer to a previous version from time machine prior to MSP Anywhere being installed? Will this remove the software?

Is there a simple way to uninstall the agent? I read through the link provided and can not figure out how to uninstall.

No you can't restore your Mac to a previous state with Time Machine. Time Machine can't remove added files
it can just add old saved files.
@Grant Bennet-Alder gave you the receipe within his 2 1st answers.
Just follow the uniq section to use.
Doing what you want to do with Time Machine takes all afternoon, is WAY more complicated than appropriate, and is not without some risk.
You would need to ERASE your disk, then restore your files as of a version of your backup that pre-dates the installation of that file.
it can be done, but it is NOT an appropriate way to proceed.
Hi - i'm having this exact issue and very keen to resolve...
As Grant has said we don't have access to the dashboard therefore I cannot see where to download the installer (which contains the uninstaller).
I've tried booting in safe and removing everything I can find but upon reboot it reinstalls automatically somehow.
Is there another way to download the agent installer?? I've searched but cannot find.
A work around if known would also be helpful??
