Putting Safari back in dock

I accidentally deleted Safari from my dock. How do I return it? Previous suggestions say open its n applications then right click it and click on Options. On a MACBook Air, there is no "Right click". When I double click on Safari (temporarily In the dock) there is no link to "Options". I am operating Ventura 5. Help!

When I double click on Safari (temporarily In the dock) there is no link to "Options".

Click and hold to reveal the Options > option, then choose Keep in Dock.

  • Or, two-finger tap the icon which does the same thing.
  • Or, control-click the icon.
  • Or, just drag the Safari icon in the Dock to some other location in the Dock, where it will remain even if you quit Safari.

Double-clicking a Dock icon does nothing a single click doesn't do.
