Putting Safari back in dock

When I double click on Safari (temporarily In the dock) there is no link to "Options".

Click and hold to reveal the Options > option, then choose Keep in Dock.

• Or, two-finger tap the icon which does the same thing.
• Or, control-click the icon.
• Or, just drag the Safari icon in the Dock to some other location in the Dock, where it will remain even if you quit Safari.

Double-clicking a Dock icon does nothing a single click doesn't do.

Quit Safari. Drag and drop the Safari from the Application folder into the Dock.

Just to clarify one thing I said, right-click is listed as secondary-click in System Settings. You can set how to implement it in the Trackpad settings.

Just to add, there is a "right click" by clicking on the right side of the Trackpad. You can control-click as an alternative.
