I am not given the option to add a new payment

Whenever I click on settings and go to payment and shipping, it says that my payment methods failed, and whenever I go to edit to remove the card, it says that it failed to remove the card. I don’t have the option to add a new payment method and whenever I click on the current card I have it doesn’t let me change the information. whenever I go to download an app I’m not able to because my card isn’t updated.

If you need to change or update your Apple ID payment method - Apple Support


BTW, if you only have 1 payment method, you must add a 2nd payment method to delete the 1st.
