My Apple TV no longer turns “off” and “on” the TV. The remote also does not allow volume changes. This seemed to occur soon after a firmware update. Last night I reinstalled everything and this morning the same problem persist.
I searched and found one who asked me to press the TV button & Volume Down button at the same time for about 6 seconds. It worked!!!! Now the remote turns on and off the TV and controls the volume perfectly!
