Apple TV won’t shut down and remote stopped controlling volume.

I’ve tried resetting both TV and remote, unplugging tv, recharging remote, and every other troubleshooting method online. Every time, it goes black and then displays either one of two screens, both indicating “no signal”. I’ve changed the output as well but only HDMI 4 works. Seems like everything else is working (except volume and shut down). Previously if we left the tv on for too long we’d get this message but could always shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. Even after unplugging.

Then it sounds like a hardware problem. Your only option is to take it to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service provider for examination and diagnosis. They may be able to restore it. If not then having it repaired, if even possible, may be more expensive than buying a new one. Sorry, we’re just fellow users here and have no magic wand to wave to fix it. Sounds like you tried everything we would have recommended.
