Quicktime Movie Video Freezes on Recording with iPhone

I record a weekly video podcast with QuickTime using my iPhone camera to my MacBook. Recently this started freezing on video mid session for 10 to ~60 seconds at a time. Everything is plugged in and close. This is iPhone, MacBook, Quicktime. No outside software or hardware. It's really annoying. Has anyone figured this out?
