My phone does not show Cellular Data Options
like other iPhones. And it is in that option one can see 3G to select.
By accessing it through Primary Sim, I get the options without the 3G
Any idea how to select 3G for this Unlocked T-Mobile version of iPhone 12 Pro Max? Spent 3 hours on the phone with T-Mobile tech support to no avail.

Officially, T-Mobile’s 3G network was retired July 1, 2022. Though there may be some towers that still carry it in rural areas, it is no longer supported.
You can not force your phone down to 3G. The best you can do is limit it to LTE. It should drop to 3G if LTE is not available and there is a 3G network present.

My carrier T-Mobile actually still offers 3G. I spent 3 hours on the phone with them and no help. After which they directed me to Apple.

My recommendation would be to try using LTE.
