Did this change message settings on iPads?
I can’t send or receive messages from my number on my iPad anymore and when I go into the send and receive from it won’t let me put anything other than my Apple ID.

It sounds as if Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone has gotten turned off.
On your iPhone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and turn it on for your iPad.
