Photos won't open. It says it is in use by another application. I have signed in on iCloud. Tried repairing.

Try restarting the computer and if necessary use Force Quit for the Photos app.

Thanks. All OK now. I upgraded the system to the latest version of Monterey, which meant restarting. Photos then reloaded from iCloud.
